Hello and thanks again for visiting! This is where I get to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been a licensed CPA since 1998. Since graduating from Western Kentucky University in 1996, I have worked in both public and private accounting. That is why I think we could make a great team!
I started my career as a staff accountant at Ernst & Young LLP in Lousiville, Kentucky. While at Ernst & Young, I primarily worked on tax return preparation and audits. I worked for all types of clients including both large and small businesses and individuals. The greatest thing about working in public accounting was meeting so many great clients and getting to help them with part of their business and life. I really enjoy being able to provide a service that is beneficial to my clients.
I married my husband, Greg in 1998 and we moved to Rockport, Indiana. I started working as the internal auditor for SIGECO, which is now Vectren Corporation. Over the years, the company has gone through many changes which has allowed me great opportunities to work in several different areas of the business. During my time in internal audit, I was able to work on many different process improvements and work with our outside accountants and auditors in our annual audit and financial work.
In 1999, I was probably assigned one of the most challenging and rewarding projects of my career. We had a team of employees assigned to implement a customer information system for all of our customers in two states. It was a great experience working with so many talented people and being able to identify and improve processes that probably hadn't even been thought about in many years. We were able to successfully implement the system for three regulated utilities. After that project, I was promoted to Manager of Customer Accounting and Gas Transportation. My departments were responsible for the revenue reporting from the utility billing systems and also for billing of our largest gas and electric customers. I left full-time employment in 2002 to stay home with my first child, Emma. Since that time, I have worked part-time as an associate to Customer Accounting. In 2004, we moved to Elberfeld and were blessed with our second daughter, Lily.
It has always been my dream to be able to serve clients by having my own business. From the moment I took my first accounting class as a sophomore at Ohio County High School in Hartford, Kentucky I knew I wanted to be an accountant and a CPA. I am so excited to be at the place in my career where I have the experience and knowledge to help you with your dream. I know it's hard to believe, but not everyone enjoys doing accounting and tax work! That is why I started this business, to help you by doing the things I enjoy while you can concentrate on more of your dreams and fiancial goals!
I hope to meet you soon!
Rhonda
